Canon has unveiled four new colour inkjet printers designed with every user in mind.
The dark grey BJC-85 is aimed at the portable PC user, and is capable of 5ppm mono and 2ppm colour printing. It comes with a rechargeable NiMH battery, plus USB, parallel and IrDA connections, for £257.32.
The £139.82 BJC-3000 has a top mono speed of 9ppm, with 4ppm colour output.
A separate optional photo cartridge is available - although, as an alternative, the £351.32 BJC-8200 Photo printer has been launched for professional users, using Canon's MicroFine Droplet Technology.
Finally the BJC-6500, costing £327.82, is an A4/A3 business solution, capable of 9ppm mono output at 1440dpi, and can be turned into a scanner with the optional scan head. Meanwhile, Epson has added the £269 EPL-5700L to its range, an entry-level USB/parallel 1200dpi laser printer.
