NEC Direct has announced new Pentium II 400MHz and Celeron models in its Versa series, while Centerprise has launched a notebook for harsher environments.
Intel's flagship mobile processors will appear in the Versa Note, LX and SX. The top-of-the-range Versa Note also boasts a 14.1in TFT screen, 64Mb of RAM, a 6.4Gb hard drive and a 2Mb NeoMagic graphics card, from £1,699.
Panasonic's ToughBook CF-71 is now available through Centerprise International.
Its magnesium alloy exterior is claimed to be 20 times stronger than a standard notebook, ideal for field work. With a PII 300MHz processor, a 13.1in TFT screen, 64Mb of RAM and a 6.4Gb hard drive, the ToughBook is available at £3,171.
