A great twist on the traditional god-sim, Dungeon Keeper II puts new creatures, spells and traps at your disposal. You can even form an alliance with the dreaded Horned Reaper, and download new ghosts and ghouls from the Web.

Fans of Sierra's sensational shooter Half-Life have another chance to wreak havoc in the Black Mesa research facility. US developer Gearbox Software is set to produce an official add-on pack for the hugely popular game. Half-Life: Opposing Force will feature seven original weapons for you to try, and a new alien threat from a species currently known as RaceX.
The pack may also introduce up to five extra NPCs (non-player characters) for you to team up with.
Half-Life: Opposing Force is expected to arrive this autumn, but no price has been set as yet.
