vnunet.com has been tracking the eagerly awaited console since it was announced and we've followed the highs - the huge midnight launch in London's West End - and the lows, which include concern in Japan that the much-hyped console was scratching game disks.
Such was the tide of enthusiasm that many UK gamers were expected to take the day off after the midnight launch, to recover from 'console thumb' and to be alone with their Xbox.
The morning after the night before also brought the first arrest - a 20-year-old unemployed man caught shoplifting a console, just hours after the launch.
