T-Mobile and Nokia have teamed up to offer a range of services and social
networking tools.
European customers will be offered faster and easier access to T-Mobile's
web'n'walk and Nokia's Ovi internet services on a wide range of Nokia devices.
The companies hope to drive the mobilisation of social networks by enhancing
T-Mobile's community-oriented MyFaves service, which was launched in Europe in
October last year.
T-Mobile and Nokia will also develop new widgets to help users create an
instant and customisable portal to their preferred internet and messaging
services.
A dedicated suite of T-Mobile services will be "seamlessly integrated" into
Nokia devices, and customers will have access to Nokia's Ovi services including
music, maps and games.
"Easy access to a wide variety of services will enhance the way people use
their mobile devices and bring web 2.0 experiences to life," said Anssi Vanjoki,
executive vice president of markets at Nokia.
"We believe in providing consumers with choice regarding which internet
services they want to access from their mobile device."
