Apple has released a large security patch, fixing 20 flaws in its OS X operating system.
Security Update 2005-005 is available for download from the Apple security page and many users will have downloaded it automatically yesterday.
The patch fixes vulnerabilities in Apache, AppleScript, Bluetooth and the Finder tool, along with the Terminal command line application and the Netinfo set-up tool.
The Bluetooth patch stops devices linking to other computers and sharing information without the user knowing. The patch also protects against buffer overflow problems that could crash unpatched systems.
Danish security analyst Secunia has rated the patch 'highly critical' and urges users to install it as soon as possible.
