Applied Security has launched a new file and encryption system for
enterprises.
Announcing the system the firm said that fideAS could protect, secure, and
encrypt files and folders on disk drives, USB sticks and other storage media,
protecting them from theft, leakage, and manipulation.
The solution was launched in the wake of numerous data handling problems, not
least of all the HMRC debacle. Announcing it Applied Security's chief executive
said, "Recent high profile date loss incidents from the HMRC and Royal Navy to
TKMaxx, and Marks and Spencer, could all have been avoided if files had been
encrypted,"
