The British Olympic Association (BOA) has selected an e-procurement system to support its preparation for the 2012 games.
The association is responsible for selecting and preparing the sportsmen and women who will compete in the games,
The system replaces a paper requisition arrangement that was not operating efficiently enough to meet the organisation's current needs, says Howard Beeston, the BOA's finance director.
'As a result, we were open to human error in the recording of our transactions,' he said.
'From a financial perspective, this meant that there was no central visibility of what we had committed to, and made management reporting extremely difficult, time-consuming and often, inaccurate.'
The Touchstone Group supplied system has proved very user-friendly, says Beeston.
'We anticipate it will greatly improve our ease of administration. It should ultimately provide greater structure to help manage our expenditure with superior information that we have simply not had before,' he said.
'We have a strong relationship with Touchstone Group from previously working together and have already placed our next order for some training for a management reporting system we have held in-house for some time, but not maximised.'
