Graphics cards based on nVidia's MX chipset dominate the budget end of the market and, with their strong 3D performance for less than £150, their appeal is obvious.
Thus far, they have lacked the extra features of more expensive cards but the launch of three new MX graphics cards should close that gap. For better performance, a 64Mb version of the card costing £120 is due to hit the streets soon.
If you need extra flexibility, a 32Mb twin view version lets you view your desktop over two screens. The third card is also a 32Mb twin view card but uses a PCI rather than an AGP slot.
That's very good news for owners of PCs that have onboard graphics or no AGP slot. Even better news is that both twin view cards carry a lightweight £99 price tag.
