Epson has launched an inkjet printer specially designed for users of digital cameras. The Stylus Photo 875DC costs £329 and allows easy access to pictures stored on the memory cards used by digital cameras.
There's a single PC Card slot, which accepts adaptors for the different types of memory cards available. So, if a new type of memory card becomes popular, you can plug it into the printer.
Rather than using the printer to control which images are printed out from your camera's memory card, Epson provides PhotoQuicker software, which automatically sends preview images to the PC when you slot a card in to the printer. You can choose which pictures you want to print from the PC screen and edit or enhance any that need alterations.
The Stylus Photo 875DC can print at up to 9 pages per minute in black and white or 8.8 in colour and has a USB interface.
