If you have an iPod this is a nice, if expensive, photo-storage solution for your digital camera

The iPod is still the number one MP3 player on the market and many third-party manufacturers are continuing to make handy devices to go with them. Belkin has a whole range of iPod goodies and this nifty gadget will appeal to digital camera owners.

The Digital Camera Link is a lot like Belkin's other iPod gadget, the Media Reader, which allows you to transfer photos from your memory card to an iPod. However, this device is intended for digital cameras that have built-in memory.

This device runs on four AA batteries and connects to the docking port of the iPod. You attach your digital camera to the USB port and it will copy its contents directly to your iPod, providing you have enough free space.

It works very well and is quick to shift files. It doesn't use any additional software but stores photos in a specific image folder on your iPod, so it's easy to track them down when attached to your computer. Once transferred, your camera's memory can be cleared for you to start shooting again.

The only downsides are that the Digital Camera Link is quite large - bigger than the iPod itself - and there's no support for the iPod mini. However, if your digital camera hasn't much memory, this is a great portable storage gadget.
